What is Brainspotting?
Brainspotting is a brain-body therapy approach that helps identify and process emotional experiences that may be stored deeper in the brain and nervous system. Using specific eye positions, Brainspotting can help access and work through anxiety, overwhelm, trauma, emotional triggers, and other experiences that may feel difficult to resolve through talking alone. It can be integrated into traditional therapy and is tailored to each client's comfort level and goals.

What Does a Brainspotting Session Look Like?
Brainspotting is often integrated into a traditional therapy session. We begin by identifying a specific issue, emotion, or experience you'd like to explore. Together, we'll notice what is happening in your thoughts, emotions, and body while using a focused eye position, or "brainspot," to support processing.
Some sessions involve more talking, while others involve more observation, reflection, and mindfulness of your internal experience. There is no right or wrong way to experience Brainspotting, and sessions move at a pace that feels comfortable and supportive for you.
